Description:
SpaceChem is an obscenely addictive, design-based puzzle game about building machines and fighting monsters in the name of science!
Take on the role of a Reactor Engineer working for SpaceChem, the leading chemical synthesizer for frontier colonies. Construct elaborate factories to transform raw materials into valuable chemical products! Streamline your designs to meet production quotas and survive encounters with the sinister threats that plague SpaceChem.
Opinion:
An extremely simple concept well executed into a terrific puzzle game with a wide range of challenge levels. It is like a simplified version of concurrent programming that just leaves so much room for creativity. The game slowly builds up the complexity by adding in new actions and requiring puzzles to be strung together into intermediate steps. The one problem the game might have is how hard and complex the solutions get, even moderately early on.
