Description:
Machinarium, the first full length adventure by this developer, in which players take on the role of a robot who has been exiled to the scrap heap. Players must use logic, collect important items, and solve environmental puzzles to get the robot back into the city of Machinarium so he can rescue his robot-girlfriend, save the head of the city, and defeat the bad guys from the Black Cap Brotherhood.
Opinion:
A great setting with fantastic hand drawn graphics and a interesting and minimalistic way of story telling. Most evident is its uniqueness, I do not think there is another title that is really all that much like it.

Play?: Should Play
I'll add a +1 vouch for Machinarium. Charming atmosphere, clever puzzles, fluid gameplay. One of the better, more-memorable adventure games I've played in the last few years.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog you got there, I remember reading your Hide review and it was simply terrific.
ReplyDeleteAlso just read your Portal 2 review and you seem to mostly have the same opinion as myself, except I disliked the parts you disliked more I think.
