The Stanley Parable is an experimental narrative-driven first person game. It is an exploration of choice, freedom, storytelling and reality, all examined through the lens of what it means to play a video game.
Opinion:
No genres really fit this unique interactive film style game; But if I had to pick, it is quite similar to visual novels in gameplay, but instead of reading the entire story is narrated.
It is simply a fantastic game, perfectly realised, and greatly enjoyable.
